Cyclingnews.com claims that "this jacket has set a whole new bar for what a winter jacket can do" and that's exactly what the perfect winter jacket should be. We think we've made our best jacket even better in the form of the next generation, the Alpha Doppio RoS.

Even the best materials currently available with good levels of breathability can't cope with the sweat and heat generated by high intensity riding. That's why we've developed a double-layer construction that allows you to have the outer wind- and water-resistant layer unzipped while the inner insulation layer stays zipped up, and thanks to airflow, moisture can escape. When riding uphill, you can completely unzip the outer layer to vent moisture and then zip up before descending and you'll be completely dry inside. It works so well it feels like magic.

For this generation, we've used a softer and warmer insulating material - Polartec® Alpha Direct. We've also made a few changes to the ends of the jacket: the neck, waist and, first and foremost, the wrists. We've lengthened and shaped the neck so that it moves with you, whether you're pedaling standing up or stepping on your buddies at a January workout together. At the waist, we created an elastic panel with a flat silicone hem that fits great and prevents wind transfer without rolling or sliding upward. We've updated the wrist closure, which now has two layers. The inner one fits snugly around the wrist and goes into the glove and the outer, in turn, wraps around the outside of the glove so water runs off the outside and not into the glove.

This jacket will stand up to wet conditions, we used GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ WINDSTOPPER® with waterproof sealing at the critical seams on the shoulders. Other seams are hidden from direct contact with water, and the water-repellent treatment of the fabric keeps most of the moisture out. The jacket is, as we say, "essentially waterproof", but at the same time maintaining the balance between water protection, breathability and comfort as much as possible. We're not saying that not a drop will leak in, but we regularly do long rides in rainy weather and we're completely dry. These features make it the jacket of choice for most of our ambassadors and staff, and make it the most versatile winter jacket we've ever made.
