Perfetto RoS 2 is the only jacket that does everything well.
If
you look closely, the Perfetto RoS 2 is basically a version of the Gabba RoS 2 with
long sleeve. So is it just a warmer Gabba? Not really.
Long
sleeves make it a jacket that covers a wide range of conditions.
Like the Gabba, the RoS emblem means it excels in dry conditions
thanks to its high breathability, as well as in wet conditions thanks to
castelli's exclusive GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ WINDSTOPPER® fabric. At
the front is a lightweight fleece material on the inside with water repellency to
surface, while the lighter and more stretchy fabric is on the back, which
maximizes breathability and comfort, while providing excellent
water repellency.
Jacket
Perfetto RoS 2 keeps all the cold wind out while being much
more breathable than the typical polyurethane membranes used on most
jackets that try to compete with Perfetto. Because you'll stay drier,
you don't need as many layers underneath. The beauty of this jacket is that it itself
itself has no insulation, so the thin base layer is just right
for mild conditions, while adding an insulating layer (a warm jersey
or Castelli Alpha 2nd Layer) will get you down to below freezing. You will
decide.
Part of
of the name "2" refers to updates to the latest version, including
yKK® Vislon® two-way zipper for even more adjustable ventilation.
Reflective elements on the back are more visible, the seam at the top of the shoulder has been
has been moved to the back, and three pockets hold more stuff. Perfetto still
remains a good fit for performance, but the new model has more room to feel over the
chest, shoulder and biceps.
This is a jacket that belongs in every cyclist's kit.
