ASSOS TRAIL TACTICA Liner Bib Shorts HP T3

The ultralight TRAIL TACTICA High Performance Liner is built for breathability and durability. It’s also superlight, adapting technology like the fast-drying crochet elastic bib straps we use on our lightest production SUPERLÉGERE Bib Shorts. The bib straps are anchored by the zeroPressure Waist construction, which is also adapted from road equipment; however, we increased breathability by reducing it to a single layer and overall stability by extending it higher up the waist. TACTICA’s zeroPressure Waist is more breathable and more supportive, ideal for high-intensity rides on rough surfaces like gravel or singletrack. The bib short liners include the new OFF-ROAD HP T3 insert, which maintains the cooling airflow of the previous version but reduces friction while pedaling and adds plush comfort to absorb singletrack and gravel chatter at high speeds. The TACTICA includes three pockets, adding ride-extending storage capacity, and the pockets incorporate pull tabs to guide access beneath a jersey. Integrated elastane grip increases fit security in the leg bands, and the new ImpactorTec T3 hip pads provide a larger protective area, a jersey-soft inner face, and increased cooling.

CHARACTERISTIC MATERIAL

The Polstar fabric is a bi-stretch, ultra-breathable cooling mesh with a hydrophilic treatment that accelerates moisture evaporation. Although this material is more robust than the Sport Touring insert, it is too lightweight to wear without outer shorts. The Speedy fabric is highly elastic, controls odor, and provides compression support at the waist.

CONSTRUCTION/CUT

The "second skin" cut for discreet layering under the TACTICA Cargo gear, with all key seams reversed to eliminate friction on the skin. The standard leg length increases coverage between the skin and outer layers.

TECHNOLOGY

ImpactorTec T3 Technology: Combines 7 mm elastic viscoelastic foam with an expanded protective area and CraterCooler technology for airflow. ZeroPressure Waist: Soft, highly elastic waistband construction that enhances comfort and support without any pressure or pinching. Superlight Leg Grips: Elastic elements incorporated into lightly compressive bands create a secure hold without restriction.

OFF-ROAD HP T3 Insert

Mono9 Shock Absorption: Compression foam layers increased from 8 mm to 9 mm. Designed for an upright riding position on gravel and trail. Thermoformed shaping reduces bumps and pressure points. 3D Waffle: Patented three-layer perforated foam that enhances breathability and eliminates excess weight while providing shock absorption. GoldenGate 2.0: This stitching pattern anchors the front and rear sections of the insert, but allows the body of the insert to float freely, enabling movement with your body rather than against it. New cutouts on both sides of the wings reduce bulk and friction during pedaling. CraterCooler: Perforations in the front of the insert channel air through the pad, maintaining breathability and a dry, warm microclimate.
