WHY WE MADE IT

The "TARGA" classification indicates a fundamental change in the design of our EQUIPE RS S9 platform. The redesign process increased performance and comfort, shed unnecessary bulk and grams, and reduced drying time - ensuring sweat doesn't linger in the fabric. We've also incorporated a panel of Ossidia material across the lower abdomen, adding stretch to better accommodate aggressive cycling positions, stretch during intense exertion, and relieve pressure for taller cyclists looking for an aerodynamic second-skin fit.

OWN FABRICS

Type.441 is a soft-compression, silky-smooth material that feels more abrasion-resistant than your typical short because it also actively cools while protecting against UV rays and resisting odor. Ossidia is a highly stretchable material that improves breathability while strategically relieving pressure on sensitive areas.

CONSTRUCTION/USE

Our AEPD racingFit created for strappy shorts with our standard leg length. Each fabric panel, strap and stitch are designed for stability, comfort and second-skin-like performance. ASSOS shorts are legendary; this fit design is the reason why.

ENGINEERING

• A-Lock Engineering: our RollBar braces, modified ergoBox, and one-piece Butterfly panel join forces to transfer weight in the saddle, ensuring friction-free comfort and stability during high-performance riding.
• Carbon Xbib: A-frame suspension design that limits vertical stretch in the rear, ensuring and reliable fit and stability of the liner and the A-Lock anchoring system. The double layer carbon material reduces drying time compared to previous single sided applications.
• Superlight Leg Grippers. A more open structure and naturally grippy Lycra provide an unobtrusive hold across the full 6cm width.

S9 Sundeck liner: An innovative liner that is lighter, increases cooling and has a minimized footprint. The odor-resistant microfiber upper returns in 3D in a basalt colorway that pays homage to the lava rock that gives us strength, stability and courage.

• Mono 9 Shock Absorption System: Compression foam materials in a 9mm racing platform with 3D Waffle inserts to shed grams and increase airflow. Thermo-molded contouring reduces grooves and irritation.
• goldenGate: Stitch pattern anchors the front and back but allows the body of the liner to float, allowing the liner to move with your body and not against it.
• Sundeck Superlight: a panel of soft comfort-focused fabric at the front of the liner increases airflow and eliminates pressure on the most sensitive areas, allowing for a more aggressive fit to the shorts.
• whirlKrater: Similar to the CraterCooler, but with perforations strategically placed throughout the liner and even in the foam layers themselves, creating a vortex of cooling airflow.
